NEW JERSEY — October 23, 2026 — Dante Media announced Prompster 2.1, a major update to its video teleprompter that introduces new presentation experiences designed for Apple's iPhone Duo.
Built for content creators, educators, coaches, and public speakers, Prompster helps people prepare, rehearse, record, and deliver their message confidently without having to memorize every word.
The new release takes advantage of iPhone Duo's folding design to give speakers greater flexibility in how they work with their scripts.
Three Ways to Make the Most of iPhone Duo
More Room to Prompt. Open iPhone Duo to reveal an expanded teleprompter experience, with more room for scripts and presentation controls on the larger display.
Fold It. Set It Down. Start Speaking. A partially folded Presenter layout arranges script content and controls for tabletop use, offering a convenient way to present without a conventional upright phone stand.
Write. Preview. Present. The expanded display allows users to edit their scripts alongside a live, read-only Prompt Preview, making it easier to refine a message while seeing how it will appear during delivery.
Beyond its new iPhone Duo capabilities, Prompster 2.1 includes improvements to camera preview, video and audio recording, Voice Follow reliability, and iPad multitasking.
From the Original iPad to iPhone Duo
For Prompster creator Danté Moore, the release represents another chapter in a product journey spanning more than 15 years.
While serving as Director of Product Design at the Associated Press in 2010, Moore had an opportunity to experience Apple's original iPad before its public release. Inspired by the creative possibilities of the new device, he developed two applications: Songwriter's Pad, a writing companion for songwriters, and Prompster, a teleprompter designed to help people communicate with greater confidence.
Prompster subsequently appeared as the lead featured application in iPhone Life magazine's September/October 2011 article, “Best Presentation Apps,” written by Alex Cequea.
“The original iPad inspired me to create Prompster back in 2010,” said Moore, founder of Dante Media. “More than 15 years later, iPhone Duo has brought back that same excitement about what's possible with a new device. My goal hasn't changed: to build technology that helps people express themselves naturally and speak with confidence.”
“Technology should amplify human expression, not replace it,” Moore added.
A Teleprompter for More Than One Device
Prompster is designed for everyday speaking situations, from recording social media videos and delivering presentations to teaching lessons, rehearsing speeches, and creating online courses.
Its capabilities include script creation and editing, adjustable scrolling, recording tools, mirroring, and customizable presentation settings.
Prompster keeps scripts synchronized across supported mobile devices, making it easy to prepare, rehearse, and present without manually transferring files.
For users who want additional hands-free control, Prompster Pro includes Voice Follow, which advances the script as the speaker talks, and support for compatible Bluetooth foot pedals.
Availability and Pricing
Prompster 2.1 is scheduled for release October 23, 2026, on the Apple App Store for supported iPhone and iPad devices, including iPhone Duo. Prompster is also available for Android through Google Play.
Essential subscriptions start at $0.99 per week, with monthly and annual options available. Prompster Pro costs $4.99 per month and includes Voice Follow and compatible Bluetooth foot pedal control.
